We just passed the halfway point of the iRacing season but there’s many more weeks of racing left, let’s see what Week 7 of Season 4 has in store for us. The previous week was highlighted by the Petit Le Mans race, that we hope went well for everyone that was racing. This time, with such great variety, it will be hard to choose where to race.

This week, the always popular Super Formula series are visiting Misano. The excellent Italian track is going to be great for the fans of open wheel racing. The track layout is great for close racing and it’s guaranteed many battles will form on this track. Both the open and fixed series in Super Formula and Super Formula Light will be racing on this track. The weather looks to be mainly dry, with a small 12% chance of rain possible for the open setup Super Formula Light series.

The iRacing Grand Prix Series and the F1 World Tour will be racing at Jerez. Another amazing track for high downforce cars. Jerez used to be one of the main test tracks for F1, so it wouldn’t be completely unusual to see cars like this lap around this track but racing here is a unique opportunity. With many mid and high speed corners, driving such high downforce car is going to be really enjoyable. The GP Series races will be half race distance at 35 laps and the World Tour races are going to be full F1 race distance at 70 laps.

For those who are just starting their open wheel racing career, an excellent option to race this week could be the open and fixed setup Formula 4 series that will be visiting the Silverstone GP track. The circuit with one of the greatest open wheel racing history never disappoints for racing in any category. With a great variety of corners from slow to high speed, it’s the perfect opportunity to learn about driving higher downforce cars.

And finally, for open wheel racing, a hidden gem for this week could be the Lotus 49 series at Le Mans Historic layout. For the fans of old school racing this has to be the highlight of the week. A historic car on a track with amazing history is always going to be a great combination.

Similarly, in Sports Car racing, we will also have great variety for tracks. Certainly, one of the most popula combinations will be the IMSA series at Silverstone GP. Whether you like cars with less downforce, like GT3, or high downforce prototypes, this combination is great. The mostly wide track layout is also great for multiclass racing. This week will have a slight chance of rain at 12%, most races are expected to be dry but a few showers could arrive for the races.

Those who want to race the always popular GT3 cars, will be driving the Montreal GP circuit in the GT3 Sprint series. This track always provides close racing with mostly big braking zones and slow speed chicanes. However, there is a twist for this week as the chance of rain for the races is going to be 98%! Certainly, most races will be wet and this will make this track even more exciting to drive! With the closeness of the walls, this will be a real challenge.

The entry level sports car series is expected to be very popular this week. As the Sports Car Challenge, the LMP3 Trophy and the GT4 Fixed series will be all racing at Laguna Seca. As one of the freely available tracks on the service, this always provides very high participation. The roller-coaster like track is enjoyed by many drivers.

And once again, for the fans of old-school sports car racing, the Proto-GT series will be an excellent choice to race this week. The races will be at the always popular Daytona Road, where multiclass series always provide outstanding racing. The series is lining up the now old HPD, GT1 cars and the Ford GT2.

As always, good luck for the racing and hope to see you on track!
